“My life’s mission is to support you to re-discover your authenticity and live in it completely, I will support you to find your ultimate wellness through yoga and a healthy lifestyle.
Suffering is part of life. When I personally realized that suffering actually came from the constant looking for happiness and the perfect life, something changed in my own life. Recognizing that being unhappy comes from a wrong perspective and wrong thoughts everything changed. Now I feel that I want to live life as a whole, with all the ups and downs, and not just the happy side of it. Life is beautiful and perfect as it is, and that is happiness.“
Marrakech:
In Marrakech you are accommodated right in the middle of the Medina, Marrakech’s old part of the city, in a carefully chosen, familiar Riad. Cool and comfortable, beautiful and absolutely quiet though right in the center, our partner accommodation provides you with the fitting environment to dust off, relax, enjoy yourself. And of course serves us comfortably for most of the daily yoga practices – if the weather allows, on the Riad’s rooftop.
Regular accommodation happens to be in shared, spacious triple rooms (same gender) with separated beds, ensuite bathrooms & free wifi access. Single or double/twin accommodation is bookable upon request / availability and with subject to surcharges.
Tahannout, Riad Tigmi Nomade:
Mohamed welcomes his guests in his traditional guest house and shares the hospitality of the Berbers in his quite basic but absolutely charming, traditional place – in the middle of the nature of the beautiful High Atlas Mountains.
Please be aware that you will have one overnight stay in a very basic and traditional hut in the high atlas mountain during your 2-day-hiking-tour. This authentic experience enables you an insight into a very simple lifestyle of the Moroccans. Please don’t forget your sleeping bag for this night.
Besides the suggested packing list, which you can find here, please do not forget your (sable+robust) hiking shoes, a sleeping bag as well as sport cloth and a jacket for your Atlas Mountain Retreat. A raincoat might be helpful as well.
Marrakech holds an international Airport Marrakech Menara. Transportation from and to the airport is arranged by NOSADE once you submitted your flight details – individually according to your personal flight times.
Please note: Flights are not included in the quoted price.
About Marrakech & The High Atlas Mountains
Marrakech:
While drifting through the Medina, you admit yourself discovering treasures everywhere in any shape: Spices, perfumes, handicrafts, carpets, jewelry. Between all the small shops you will find tiny fruit and vegetable stalls where farmers offer their freshly harvested products; old carriages serving as counters for fresh delicious bread. Everything is surrounded by a bewitching smell. The whole city seems to be enchanted by the drumming and singing, by snake charmers and storytellers. Calm and coolness can only be found once entering the very narrow streets.
In Marrakech, it is easy though to feel comfortable and at home despite its strangeness and fascination – in this sea of seething life, bustling action, loud shouts and the feverish, everlasting and never ending circle of boiling life.
Indeed no other city in the world deserves the name “Pearl of the South” more than Marrakech.
The High Atlas Mountains Morocco:
High Atlas, also called the Grand Atlas Mountains (Arabic: الاطلس الكبير; French: Haut Atlas; Berber: ⴰⴷⵔⴰⵔ ⵏ ⴷⵔⵏ) is a mountain range in central Morocco in Northern Africa.
The High Atlas rises in the west at the Atlantic Ocean and stretches in an eastern direction to the Moroccan-Algerian border. At the Atlantic and to the southwest the range drops abruptly and makes an impressive transition to the coast and the Anti-Atlas range. To the north, in the direction of Marrakech, the range descends less abruptly.
The range includes Jbel Toubkal, which at 4,167 m is the highest in the range and lies in Toubkal National Park. The range serves as a weather system barrier in Morocco running east-west and separating the Sahara from the Mediterranean and continental zones to the north and west. In the higher elevations of the massif, snow falls regularly, allowing winter sports. Snow lasts well into late spring in the High Atlas, mostly on the northern faces of the range. On the Western High Atlas, there is Oukaïmeden, one of three main ski stations in Morocco.
The High Atlas forms the basins for a multiplicity of river systems. The majority of the year-round rivers flow to the north, providing the basis for the settlements there. A number of wadis and seasonal rivers terminate in the deserts to the south and plateaux to the east of the mountains.
The High-Atlas Mountains are inhabited by Berbers, who live from agriculture and pastoralism in the valleys. In the steppe zone of the High-Atlas, where precipitations are low, the locals created a smart technique in managing the low precipitations and the weak soil. They turn the rather semi-arid lands into fertile valleys called locally by Agdal (garden in Berber). This technique has intrigued many Western agriculturalists, in which they were impressed by the high efficiency of this agricultural system. Many scientists, particularly French scientists, make yearly expeditions to observe the community and their living system. (Source: Wikipedia)
